SCFC Annual Summer Kick Off

Submitted by SCFCAdmin on Fri, 06/19/2009 - 11:15am.

SCFC held our Annual Summer Kick Off event on Thursday, June 18th at the Meridian MS fields.  The players had fun with soccer skills challenges and the Shirts vs Skins mixed age mini-tourney, and everyone got plenty to eat at the barbecue and potluck picnic.  Congratulations to Tanner Dunn of SCFC '91 Ice - winner of the Seattle Sounders tickets drawing!  Our thanks to our U-18 coaches and players for organizing and leading the fun & games, and to all our boys and their families for attending and making this year's Kick Off a success.  Now let's go have a great season!

Local players come to pre-High School practices

Submitted by SCFCAdmin on Wed, 02/25/2009 - 12:00pm.

A little snow - SCFC pre-High School PracticeOur pre-high school practices were well attended by local high school boys, who got some extra drills and instruction to help them get ready for their school tryouts.  A little snow did not deter the 85 high schoolers who attended the final session on Wednesday Feb 25th.  We thank all the boys who came and the coaches from SCFC and other local clubs who helped out with practices.  Good luck to all our players as they try out for both varsity and JV teams - SCFC is proud to help our local boys achieve success in soccer, and we hope to see them all playing for their schools soon!

TJ Makes a Very Personal Donation

Submitted by SCFCAdmin on Sun, 02/15/2009 - 11:08am.

TJ in action'94 Blue player TJ has always been easily recognizable on the field with his long hair flying as he blazed down the sidelines.  But now TJ has made a major change in his appearance - a 12 inch change!  TJ cut his hair for the first time in 3 years and donated it to Locks of Love, a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.  Locks of LoveSCFC is very proud of TJ and our other players who never forget that there are many people out there who need our help.  Continue reading this story for TJ's "Before" and "After" pictures.
